We were commissioned by Historic England to create a film to launch their heritage construction apprenticeship scheme. As the largest one-off investment ever awarded to heritage construction training in England, the work-based programme will address long-standing skills shortages in the construction sector, such as bricklaying, carpentry and joinery.
For this project, it was important that we showed the benefits of the scheme in a short space of time. It was essential that we also showed the importance of passing on the essential crafts to future generations, which means that heritage buildings across the country will continue to survive.
