Commissioned by Llanthony Secunda Priory, 'The Lost Library of Llanthony' is a fascinating documentary which tells the remarkable story of an Augustinian Priory outside the walls of Gloucester.

In the Medieval period, Llanthony Secunda's primary purpose was as a religious community, dedicated to God. The scholars at Llanthony  were responsible for creating a very special library that is still considered one of the richest and best documented medieval English book collections in the country. Although the library no longer exists in Gloucester, the books are scattered around the world, and are involved in a variety of special collections.
