The Exploring Eliot project commissioned us to create 9 short films centred around the personal objects, items and memories from the George Eliot Collection - currently held at The Herbert, Nuneaton Library and Nuneaton Museum.
Led by the voices of the curators and dedicated people that work first hand with the collection, we treated this project with subtlety, sensitivity and feeling. This further enabled us to present the personality, passions and unique perspectives held within the collections to come to life.
Giving the viewer a unique insight into how the items remain relevant within today, ultimately connects them to the stories, history and legacies held within. Working with the project team at each stage, allowed us to create archival snapshots of the collection and its rich heritage.

Squeaky Pedal were fantastic to work with throughout the film making process. Their approach was creative and imaginative whilst also understanding of our requirements. They were very much focused on engaging the audience and utilised effective storytelling to convey our key messages. We found them committed to creating high quality films which showcased the best of our venues and collections. They spent time to ensure they had all the material needed and provide them with lots of options in the edit. They completed all filming and editing in the specified timescale which we knew was a tight turnaround. The final films were provided in a range of formats to give us flexibility in distribution.
