Museum Development North needed a way to showcase the impact of their grant programme across museums in the North of England. They had a clear sense of what they wanted to achieve but had never commissioned film before and weren't sure how to approach it.

We worked with them from the initial brief through to final delivery, helping shape the approach, talking through what each film needed to do, and scoping out locations at Towneley Hall and Warrington Museum. Before filming we made sure the museums knew what to expect, so that when shoot day came everyone was relaxed and the day ran smoothly.

Each film combines staff interviews with close-up exhibit footage and wider shots of both venues, building a picture of what MDN's investment had actually made possible. The finished films are five minutes each, subtitled, and designed to work across MDN's website and wider communications. It gave them a reusable asset that tells the story of their work in a way a written case study never quite can.
