Squeaky Pedal were brought on board by Squint/Opera as DOP for location filming of the Funny Girls exhibition piece at Showtown Blackpool. A standout feature of this work is the innovative animation using the Pepper’s Ghost technique, which brings to life the energy and charisma of iconic drag cabaret performers, including Funny Girls. This immersive approach fosters a deep personal connection with Blackpool’s vibrant showtime legacy, celebrating its unique contribution to British entertainment culture.

In addition to this, we worked with Creative Director Dan Lusby at Squint/Opera to produce a selection of location-filmed content for the main exhibition wall, capturing the essence of Blackpool’s iconic venues and rich performance history. This dynamic content forms a visual tapestry that showcases the city's showbiz heritage, bringing its stories vividly to life for visitors.
