Hi everyone, my name is Victoria and I am the new Marketing Assistant Intern here at Squeaky Pedal.
My role here is to manage Squeaky Pedal's social media accounts and to create blog posts to keep you all in the loop on all upcoming Squeaky Pedal projects.
A little bit about me: I have my Undergraduate degree in Film and Media, and I am currently a student at Keele University, studying Global Media and Culture. The internship with Squeaky Pedal was introduced to me through Keele Uni and their Student Knowledge Exchange programme. Due to my background, I have always had a deep passion for Film, as well as an interest for History and current affairs. My aspirations is to become a film distributor, and help small independent companies share their creations to a wider audience.
Even though I could be classed as your typical film student, I must admit that I am completely obsessed with rom-coms and animation films. Films like Pretty Woman, Steel Magnolias, and even Pixar's Coco, are probably my most loved films, due to their ability to make me feel happy at almost any time, any day. However, I do appreciate a good Martin Scorsese film from time-to-time.
And as always, due to the pandemic, I have invested a lot of time watching TV series. From watching full boxset series like the Golden Girls, to really cheesy competition shows such as Come Dine with Me and even RuPaul's Drag Race have kept me afloat through these various lockdowns.
In my spare time, I have my own blog/Instagram account where I review Films/TV/Books that have taken my interest, which has really helped me in my experience of social media. The ability to share my own thoughts and discuss them with other bloggers, really enhances my passion for this industry.
Away from the screen, I play the guitar and bass, which are all self-taught. Although I am mediocre at best, it's a nice hobby to have, to relax and unwind to. It became even more satisfying when I figured out how to play that infamous bass line from The Chain by Fleetwood Mac.
All in all, I am super excited to join the Squeaky Pedal team and to show you all what they have instore for you. It's going to be a busy, but amazing Summer for us!
